Languages at a glance
So what languages are available and where, and will I have to cross-enrol?
If the language you want to study is taught by your home university you do not have to cross-enrol (your home university is the university at which you are enrolled for your degree).
You only need to cross-enrol if the language you want to study is not taught by your home university.See below for details:

For instance:
- You are a student from Griffith or QUT and want to study French– you have to cross-enrol at UQ even if your course is scheduled at QUT Gardens Point.
- You are a student from UQ and want to study Italian – you have to cross-enrol at Griffith even if your course is scheduled at UQ St Lucia.
- You are a student from QUT and want to study Japanese – you have to cross-enrol but you can choose between Griffith and UQ. If you cross-enrol at Griffith you attend classes at either Nathan or the Gold Coast. If you choose UQ you attend classes at either St Lucia or Gardens Point.
